Started playing golf at the age of 10. Credits her parents and Scot Marshall as the individuals most influencing her career. Played as Kathryn Marshall from 1993-2005. Enjoys all sports and hill walking. Qualified for the Tour on her second attempt. Won the 2012 LPGA T&CP Division National Team Championship with Amy Alcott.

Imrie hails from the east cost of Scotland where she learned how to play golf on links courses such as Carnoustie and St.Andrews. Kathryn played for Scotland at all levels as a junior golfer and reached the top of the amateur game when she played for GB & I in the 1991 Curtis Cup match at Canoebrook, NJ. At one time in her amateur career she held five course records in Scotland including the famed Carnoustie Links.

After graduating from the University of Arizona in 1989 she returned home to Scotland to hone her golf skills and eventually turned professional at the end of 1991. In 1993 she earned her LPGA tour card and went on to become the first Scot to win on the LPGA with a victory at the 1995 Jamie Farr Toledo Classic. In 1994 and 1996 she represented Europe in the Solheim Cup matches where she partnered with Annika Sorenstam in the fourball and 2013 Solheim Cup Captain Lislelotte Neumann in the foursomes.

Other professional highlights include recording a record 11 birdies in one round and at one time shared the LPGA scoring record with a 62 scored at the Rail GC in Illinois. Kathryn earned Master Instructor status at the Jim Mclean Golf School in La Quinta, CA. She was the assistant golf coach at Stanford University for three years and recently became an assistant professional at Stanford University.
