Sue won the 2003 and 2004 WSGT National Qualifying Tournaments and was runner up in 2005. Starting her 8th season as University Park??s Teaching Professional. Once played with fellow Michigan native and former President Gerald R. Ford in Palm Springs, CA after a Dinah Shore event.
Q: What clubs do you play? A: I play an Orlimar 420 driver ?? Callaway 4+, 5, 7, 9, 11 fairway woods ?? Callaway Fusion irons 6-LW ?? Odyssey #2 center shafted putter ?? Precept U-Tri Distance golf ball. Q: What is the best part of your game? A: Consistency, determination, persistence, visualization and course management. I am also grateful to have stayed as healthy and flexible as I am to this day. Q: How often do you practice? A: I teach and play at University Park CC in Sarasota, FL and tend to get most of my practice on the course as I play throughout the winter. But during the summer months when I do not teach, I travel extensively and concentrate more on individual aspects of the game at various ranges and practice facilities. I enjoy the challenge of various grasses, terrains, courses, weather conditions, and playing partners. I tend to have a club in my hand 6 of 7 days a week in the summer. Q: How did you feel when you won your first LPGA tournament?A: I have yet to win my first LPGA tournament, and respect every LPGA player who has won their 1st or their 88th victory ?? any win is an ultimate achievement. Q: What do you like about the Senior Tour? A: The opportunity to compete with and against the best. The comraderie and reunion with players of our own era and before. These are some of the classiest people and a pleasure to be around during both competition and social pro-am events. It is great to have the golf fans still get to enjoy the talents of the Hall of Famers like Pat Bradley, Patty Sheehan, JoAnne Carner, Kathy Whitworth, and Nancy Lopez ?? and the recent successes of Vic Fergon, Barb Moxness, Lori West, Elaine Crosby, Kathyrn Young-Robyn and others. |
