CINDY MILLER NAMED 2010 LPGA TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Cindy Miller has been teaching people how to enjoy the game of golf for 27 years. The Class A LPGA Professional and former LPGA Tour Player says her passion lies in helping her students "own their game" by being comfortable in their own skin and playing the! ir game within their strengths and abilities. She is currently an instructor at The Wehrle Golf Dome in Williamsville, N.Y.

"I was absolutely thrilled when I learned that I won the Teacher of the Year award," said Miller. "I feel as though I have earned the respect of my peers. I am honored and humbled. This means more to me than you can imagine."

A former All-American for the University of Miami, Miller is a veteran of five U.S. Women's Opens and competed in five LPGA Championships. She currently plays on the Legends Tour, where she sits within the top 30 on the career money list. She has been named both the LPGA Teacher of the Year and Player of the Year for the Northeastern section and is among the LPGA's "Top 50 Teachers." Miller is perhaps best known for her appearance on Golf Channel's "Big Break III: Ladies Only" program.

In addition to her golfing skills, Miller is a sought-after speaker and coach. She is a certified Personality Trainer and Me! ntal Golf Coach. She has developed many instructional programs for her students, which include private lessons, golf clinics, women's weekend retreats, golf schools, corporate golf outings and training programs. She has also written two instructional booklets: The Short Game and Executive Golf 101.

"I love helping the student who believes they just can't get any better," said Miller. "I love dispelling the myths and changing their picture of what they think they should do. I want them to be comfortable with their game, confident they are doing the right thing so they can be consistent when they play."

Miller has been married to PGA Tour veteran Allen Miller for 29 years and has three children. The LPGA Teacher of the Year award was established in 1958, and is presented to a female teaching professional who best exemplifies her profession during the year.
